The Colonel Davenport House and grounds are maintained by the all-volunteer non-profit organization called the Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation. From the board members to the guides and gift shop assistants to the Tri-City Garden Club, it is a group effort to restore and maintain the historic Colonel Davenport House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
